NatureConnect is delighted to be offering ALL-OUTDOOR “Story Immersion Camps” to children aged 6 to 12 years!
Dive into your imagination as the woods come to life with nature spirits, dragons, fairy-folk and whatever else we may encounter! Explore bushcraft skills like fire-making, wood-carving, den-building, and more Forest School fun! Choose your own adventure in a specially created story-world dreamed up and acted out in collaboration with the Wicklow Democratic School community!
Camps are envisioned, crafted, developed, and delivered by volunteer students and staff of the Wicklow Sudbury School and the greater community for a truly unique experience!

Each Camp is a DAY CAMP and will run from 11 am to 3 pm.
PAST CAMPS
SAMHAIN RESCUE – Ages 6-12: 29th to 31st October 2019
The woods whisper of secrets never to be told, the Autumn wind blows us ever closer to an adventure that is crying out for someone to heed the call. Journey into the otherworld to find that which has been lost. At Samhain, when the veil is thin, is the time to light our ancestral fires and venture forth into winter’s night. But beware, where there is mystical adventure this time of year, the Banshee is not far behind.
NATURE SPIRIT – Ages 6-10: 1st to 4th July 2019
Follow hidden paths deep into the woods where wonder awaits. If you want to explore, you need to master some basic skills—and this is the place to do it! We will build a base camp at the edge of the wilderness and journey into the deep dark forest. But beware, the forest holds secrets and a power not even known to the wisest bards or bravest of souls!
DRAGON QUEST – Ages 6-12: 15th to 18th July 2019
Create your own character, join a band of adventurers and experience a summer camp inspired by Dungeons and Dragons! There are tales to be told and quests to complete. Enter the world of magic and monsters, of brave warriors and spectacular adventures. The forest awaits and is ready to unfold whatever we may dream up!
Tír na nÓg – Ages 6-12: 6th to 8th August 2019
The legendary land of eternal youth is a place of merrymaking and beautiful music In Irish mythology. For one week this summer, Tír na nÓg comes to County Wicklow. Which activities and games bring the biggest smile to your face? Follow your wonder, excitement, and interests all week out in the woods. Join us for games, crafts, art, drama, nature studies, wilderness survival skills, acro-yoga, music and so much more! Let curiosity be your guide!
